Sexy Optical Illusion Video

You remember all old optical illusions where you could find strange things in pictures. Impossible shapes and funny ideas have made cool pictures for ages. I think I have seen them all, and I love them because they play with our minds in a cool way.

But this illusion was new to me. Don't worry, there wont jump out an ugly troll that screams when you look at the X. Just look at the X for about 10 seconds and the picture will change.

The high oil price is really starting to get consequences, what we have here is video evidence that people instead of going on vacations and to amusement parks are finding alternative way of enjoying themselves.

This lady is clearly finding is a blast doing some escalator spinning. And judging by the other videos of this phenomenon on youtube she is the current world champion of escalator spinning.

Worlds Largest Self-portrait Video

This video was created by the Swedish artist Erik Nordenankar and even though it's only fake the idea and the execution of the video is brilliant.

The idea was to use a GPS equipped briefcase to create a huge self-portrait spanning over the whole globe. On March 2008 he sent the GPS with DHL, 55 days later the briefcase returned to Stockholm. When the briefcase returned with DHL the information from the GPS device was downloaded to his computer and projected on a world map.

The one giant stroke passed through 6 continents, 62 countries and was 110 664 km long.

The project website is found here, and spare us the this is fake comments because we know this is only fictional.

City Pulse Video

Watch how a city comes alive when you speed up the playback. The video was originally titled Pulse and when you see the waves of cars created by the stop lights you can really see why the author decided to title it this way.

I know this is not a funny video but I liked the idea and the fact that the video is in HD makes it very beautiful to watch.

How it's made: Chewing Gum Video

In this How it's made episode we learn how chewing gums are manufactured, and whats even better is that we will learn what types of chewing gum is good for your teethes.

The reason why chewing gum can be good for your teethes is that the xylitol raises the pH level in your mouth after you have eaten and this protects your teeth.

How it's made: Heinz Tomato Ketchup Video

In this video we go on a factory tour at the Heinz tomato ketchup factory in Eltz located in the Netherlands. Heinz started producing their tomato ketchup in 1876 so they have had quite some time perfecting their recipe, this recipe is so secret that only 8 people in the world knows the secret of what makes the Heinz ketchup taste the way we expect it to.

As you will see in the video the ketchup goes through several quality control steps before it is shipped to stores around the world. One example is the ketchup speed limit test, this test is performed to make sure that the ketchup cant flow out of the bottle to quickly.

Last time we featured a Britain's Got Talent clip it was the fabulous Andrew Johnston that performed a classic requiem.

This time we see Michael Jackson battling it out with Daler Mehndi in a appearance loved by the jury and the audience that stood up and clapped their hands.

You know who Michael Jackson is but do you know who Daler Mehndi is, well neither did I. But Daler Mehndi is bhandgra/pop singer from India that have become very famous and popular in India. His popularity have grown so big outside India now that he is able to tour in the US.

A lion attacks a young water buffalo and bites it during a hunt. But Mommy Water Buffalo get's the resque and gives the lion a match. She does what every mother would do, get into a fight over your child even if the odds are really bad.

Just so you know it, the water buffalo wins and the baby buffalo walks away and don't seem to have been hurt at all. It's cool how nature works, the lion probably thought this would be a really easy match and get dinner for some days.

WOW is pretty much the only thing you can say about this fantastic video of hundreds of candlelit lamps filling the sky.

This is evidently from a form of Thai tradition, if anyone knows where and when you could experience this tradition let us know in the comments.

Bullets in Slow Motion Video

A really cool experiment, which I had a camera like that. Some people have taken different things and put it up for the camera to shoot a slow motion video when a bullet is shot at it.

You see shooting all the time in movies, but you almost never get to so the real effect what happens when the bullet actually hit the object. The bullet does not "only" go through the object leaving a thin hole you can look through, it actually effects the whole object. Here you get to see things like a Heinz Ketchup bottle fired at, an apple, a melon and other things. One of the cool things is that the objects react pretty differently. Some explode right away, and some implode a little and then burst completely.

Bicycle Freeway Ride Video

This is the The If You Rode a Bike You'd Be Home By Now Rid video and it was created to explore the taboo of bicycles on the freeway.

The project started out with two guys talking about bike stunts that they wanted to perform and this was the first candidate to explore. After some research they concluded that the best time to perform this stunt would be on around 5:30PM on a Friday. The two guys tried to recruit more candidates but the result was thin and they only managed to recruit 2 more riders. The ride took place on April 18, 2008.

I featured this video because it shows that using your car is not always the best choice... Good work boys, if you produce any more interesting videos let us know.

Andrew Johnston Britain's Got Talent Video

I don't know how we have managed to miss this video of Andrew Johnston singing in the 2008 edition of Britain's Got Talent.

What started out as a no expectations appearance by a young school boy resulted in a moved jury and the unveiling of a story about bullying. None in the jury could hold back the tears as Andrew Johnston stunned the audience with his powerful sound. The experience remind very much of that when Paul Pott appeared on the show last year.

On stage Andrew Johnston talked about how the kids in his school bullied him since they didn't like the kind of music that he sang. I have found this article on the Britian's Got Talent website that states that he is the head chorist at Charlisle Cathedral, which I think is remarkable for a 13-year old boy.

After Andrew Johnston finished performing the classic requiem Pie Jesu the jury best known for bullying contenders without talent started praising his performance and build up his self confidence.

Amanda told Andrew just how mesmerized she was by the performance and that she had promised herself not to cry on the show. Piers agreed and told Andrew he had a very good chance of winning the show. Finally Simon told Andrew that the bullies had undermined his self confidence and said "But I think you are better then you think you are".

Guardian have written about the appearance.

Mario Theme Played with RC Car Video

This video is a great example of what you can achieve if you are talented and have to much time on your hands. The group behind the video have found an empty parking garage where they have positioned bottles in a row with just the right amount of spacing between the bottles to play the Super Mario theme.

To play the theme they fitted a RC car with a metal rod and then they drove along the row of bottles and the result is a RC car playing the Super Mario theme.

I know this might sound simple but it must have taken a lot of time to get the distance between the bottles right and driving in a straight line is not as easy as it looks.

I think this beats the dude playing the Super Mario theme on two guitars simultaneously.

3D Star Origami Video

Origami is a really old art from Japan where you use ordinary paper and normally not that much other tools. Origami Professionals cam make all kinds of shapes with everything from dragons to 3D Stars like the art that is shown in this video.

Origami entertains a lot of people all over the world, and I actually saw an episode from Extreme Makeover, Home Edition where a blind young girl was folding papers into impressive shapes. Think she was only 7 years old but still she makde the most impressive stuff. You can't imagine the things you can do if you master the paper art Origami

How it's made - Tofu Video

Tofu is one of the things that I can't eat but I'm none the less interested in how it's manufactured and therefore I'm bringing you this how it's made episode.

Yes this video show you the inside of a tofu factory where they turn soy beans into blocks of tofu. The process is pretty much to soak the dry soy beans in water for a couple of hours and then crushing them into a grainy soup. Then the soup is turned into a paste by cooking it, then the milk is separated from the pulp using a centrifuge. The milk is what is used to make tofu by adding coagulant , the pulp is used as cattle and pet food.

Hope you learned something from the video.

We continoue our effort of collecting all How it's made videos we can find in one place for you to enjoy.

In this episode we visit a cheesecake bakery factory to see how cheesecake that we buy in stores are manufactured in a factory. For us that love advanced machinery it's a bit disappointing because there is no advanced and expensive machines in this factory. But as always it's very interesting to know how our everyday items are manufactured.

And now you know that the cheesecake is not from New York but from Greece and then transfered to the US by the Europeans that immigrated to the US.

How it's made - Pineapples Video

This video will teach you how pineapples are planted, grown, harvested and finally processed before they end up on your plate to be eaten.

The Pineapple industry is not very technically advanced as most of the work is done by hand. At the pineapple producer in the video workers plant 9.000 plants by hand every day and others pick and sort pineapples from existing plants.

Even much of the work inside the factory is done by hand so the pineapple industry needs plenty of workers to produce the sweet pineapple that we consume.

In this episode we visit a hot dog factory that produces roughly 300.000 hot dogs every hour. And the thing we will learn is how pork, beef and chicken trimmings(left over pieces) are turned into a perfect row of hot dogs.

I love sausages which I guess is very similar to hot dogs when it comes to how they are produced and thankfully hot dogs look a lot less disgusting compared to the How it's made - bacon video.

Danny Way jumps the Great Wall of China Video

This video from 2005 shows how Danny Way jumps over the Great Wall of China on his skateboard, this made him the first un-motorized person to clear the wall.

Two years earlier Wang Jiaxiong from China attempted to clear the wall on his bike but he fell to his death in the attempt.

When Danny Way made the jump it was not open to the general public but only a couple of thousand dignitaries and officials was present at the event. When going down the massive ramp Way reached the staggering speed of 50 mph. The jump was 24 meters long he was 7.14 of in the air. And he actually did the jump not only once but five times.

About have an article about the record breaking jump and when were on the subject of the Great Wall of China I found this article titled 11 Facts You Didn't Know About The Great Wall of China.
How it's made - Glass Bottles Video

In this How it's made video we will learn how glass bottles are manufactured.

Did you know that glass consumes less energy to produce then metal and plastic and that glass can be endlessly recycled. The glass used to manufacture glass bottles consists mainly of silica sand, soda ash and limestone.

I must say that the glass bottle factory looks very much low tech compared to many of the factories we have seen in the other How it's made videos. If you want to know more about glass and it's history see this wikipedia article.

If you rather want to see videos about glass we have these two for you:
How Safe are Plastic Bottles Video

If your looking for funny videos don't watch this video, but if you often drink liquids from plastic bottles I think this is a video you should watch.

This is a 5 minute clip from MSNBC about water bottles and leeching chemicals, how safe do you think plastic bottles are? I know that many people reuse their plastic bottles in order to save the environment but this could actually be bad for your health as many of the plastic bottles were manufactured to be used only once.

And if you wash that bottle i the dishwasher or heat it in the microwave the plastic will be leeching even more chemicals. I know almost every parent heat their milk in the microwave using a plastic baby bottle, thats not recommended.

I know these kind of reports come out all the time and that you simple just cant think about everything that can be harmful to you but at least it's work a thought.

The video teaches you that the bottles you should definitely avoid is the ones with numbers "3", "6" or "7" in the recycling triangle, and remember that you can always use a glass instead.

Update
Here is more to read for thoose of you interested in the subject.

Best Game Ever Video

Some weeks ago we featured the food court musical video by the group Improve Everywhere. Today we have a new video by the same group and this is even better in my opinion.

In this video the Improve Everywhere group is going to turn a Little League game into a Major League Baseball game and thereby making this their best game ever. To do this they learned the names, numbers and nicknames of all the players. Then they brought a bunch of supporters painted in the teams colors, then they brought the NBC JumboTron and three reporters, then came the Goodyear Blimp which had a special message.

Watch the end of the video to see that the kids thought about this experience.

In this episode the turn have come to the Marshamallow Cookie and in this video you will learn how it's manufactured.

But first did you know that it was the ancient Egyptians that invented the Marshmallow candy by thickening honey with extract from the root of the marshmallow plant. I actually didn't know that their existed something like the Marshmallow plant, hopefully you also learned something new today.

The modern Marshmallow typically consists of sugar or corn syrup, water, gelatin, dextrose and flavorings all whipped to a spongy consistency.

Hope you found this video interesting and educational, feel free to leave comments.

In this particular crash compilation it's Monster trucks that are brought to the slaughter house to ripped apart by not so perfect landings. The video shows quite some wheel axles being broken, giant tires flying through the air and custom painted body work being smashed into peaces, good we love when accidents happen...
Watch for the "fall" in the first period of the video, it's really nicely pulled off. It really looks like he has a string in his back that helps him fall down. F**king amazing dude!
Giant Ice Fang Climbing Video

Climbing is cool, climbing on ice is cooler but even cooler is it to climb up a 50 meters high pillar of ice that is only 8 meters large at the base.

In Vail, Colorado on exceptionally cold winters this giant ice Fang forms. Climbing as this ice waterfall can be extremely dangerous and should only be performed by experienced ice climbers.

I must say this video looks almost unreal as I have never seen anything like this before, standing by the base of this giant ice pillar and looking up must be majestic. I can't even think about the feeling of having climbed to the top of it.

History: First Man in Space Video

Today we offer a short history lesson in the form of a video about the first man in space, no it's not about Yuri Gagarin nor is it about Neil Armstrong.

The first man in space was actually Joseph Kittinger when he on August 16, 1960 jumped from a balloon 37 km above the earth surface. In this jump he was also the first man to reach the speed of sound without using an aircraft. In the fall he reached a speed of 989 km/h.
This video will teach you how a diamond is manufactured and after you have seen this video you might have a better understanding of why diamonds are so expensive.

The process starts buy blasting big blocks of rocks from the ground and then the residues are transported to the diamond factory where the rough diamonds are extracted from the rock. Then the rough diamonds needs to be examined by a professional foreman that decides how it's best to cut the diamond not to wast more diamond then necessary, then the hard task of cutting and grinding the diamond starts.

All of this work is required to produce a sparkling diamond.

This How it's made episode is from an Icelandic sushi making factory that yearly boil 100 ton of rice for their frozen sushi product.

In the video we follow the fish from the see into the factory were it's filled by machines and prepared for the sushi. The machines does the same thing that a Japanese sushi chef has to learn during 10 years to master.

Later in the factory much of the work is done by hand by some aid form machines. In one station the people slice fish bites in exact 10 gram pieces, this must be very tedious work that you quickly get tired of.

You might have guessed it but if not this video will show how rubber bands are manufactured. First we travel to Malaysia where they are growing rubber treas which then are milked for a white liquid, the liquid is latex.

Then we see the process of turning the liquid latex into solid rubber which is then shipped to the US to turn it into the kind of rubber that we recognize as rubber.

I cant help but think these manufacturing videos are fascinating and super interesting to watch, probably because I like to know how things work and where things I use come from.

Ellen Degeneres gets the opportunity to dance to the not yet released Madonna single 4 Minutes which will be the first single on her eleventh studio album Hard Candy.

4 Minutes is a duet with Madonna and singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake who also helped wrote the track.

Rolling Stone describes the song as:
“4 Minutes” has a bit of a marching band aesthetic as blasting brass play a scale-like riff, a hard, clanging beat enters and Madonna sings that the “road to heaven is paved with good intentions.” Timberlake and Madonna trade verses, and he appears on the chorus, doing his best Michael Jackson impression while quickly crooning, “We've only got four minutes to save the world.” The track ends after a brief breakdown where everything drops out but one of Tim's signature Bhangra beats, some stabs of brass and Madonna's urgent tick-tock's. It's a loud, busy, energetic track.

This video really made my morning and I hope the positive energy can brighten your day to.

Update:
I'm actually not sure this is actually a walrus but I don't think the species is all that important when we have a animal that obviously do something that is not natural.

I cant explain why but I find it very fascinating seeing animals doing things they would usually not do. And what do you think of a walrus dancing to Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson?

The video looks authentic so somewhere there is probably one devoted walrus and one trainer that have spent quit some spare time in training this walrus.

In this video Improve Everywhere stagged spontaneous musical in the food court of a a Los Angeles shopping mall. The mission involved 16 undercover agents and no one knew about the performance in advance. One of the agents borrowed a outfit from Hot Dog on a Stick and was given access to behind the counter and the other employees at the food court had no idea she was going to stage a musical. While she waited for the show to get of the ground she actually had to serve a bunch of customers.

Here's a Freebording Video with a large collection of sweet rides, cool tricks and a guy caught by the police (don't worry he get's released).

Looks like it's San Francisco in some of the clips. The extreme hills seems to be perfect for a good Freeborder. I just love the sliding from side to side that the manage to do with their boards.

Pretty impressive to be able to jump from stairs with those large boards.

A group (I think) called System-D128 has done a remix of the old Muppet Show song with sweet beats and a cool remix of the video as well.

The Swedish chef is there, the angry two old guys and the rest of the gang.

First Lucky Pool Shot Video

Is this really the girl's first pool shot and she is having the most amazing beginners luck? Or is she a pro pool player. She doesn't look like a pro, but good damn how good those balls go into the holes :)

With one try she get's every single ball into the holes, I have never seen that ever before.

Iphone and virtuagirl Video

This video also fit in the nsfw section, but the thing we want to focus on today is the cool thing that some dude has brought the VirtuaGirlHD into his Iphone.

Bringing to cool things together can NEVER be bad. Iphone is cool, and everyone knows about it, and Virtuagirl is a program where you get beautiful girls to strip and dance on your own real desktop on your computer!! Sounds high tech, but it's really simple to just download and checkout the free pole dances and relax!

Anyone that has more details on how to get this into an Iphone? Is it just as simple that you install the software and relax and enjoy, or is it something special and hightech?
Let us know at vidly, we are tech addictive people so feed us with stuff!!
